春節(jié)是中國最重要的節(jié)日。

The Spring Festival is the most celebrated holiday in China.

人們會提前30天開始準備。

People start preparing 30 days in advance.

中國有句俗話“過了臘八就是年”。

As a Chinese saying goes, "After Laba comes the Spring Festival".

一整年的辛勤忙碌之后，從臘月初八開始享受生活的樂趣。

After a year of hard work, they begin to enjoy life from the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month.

在中文里，魚和富足的發(fā)音相同。

In Chinese, the word for fish sounds like “abundance” .

所以，長江流域的年夜飯上，魚是不可缺少的菜品。

That's why fish is an essential dish on the New Year's Eve dinner table in the Yangtze River Basin.

漁民因為武昌魚豐收而喜悅。

Fishermen are joyful over a bountiful catch of Wuchang bream.

廚師會挑選重量合適的魚制作美味的菜肴。

The chefs carefully select the right-sized fish to prepare delicious dishes.

去掉魚鱗和內臟，打上花刀，再用熱水沖洗，加鹽、姜片、小蔥腌制。

They remove the scales and guts, score the fish, rinse with hot water, and marinate it with salt, ginger slices, and green onions.

湖北有千湖之省的稱號。

Hubei is known as the "Province of a Thousand Lakes".

湖北人對魚的喜愛早在2400年前就開始了。

Hubei people's love for fish dates back as early as 2,400 years ago.

1300多年前的中國北宋時期，著名詩人兼美食家蘇軾，曾寫下詩句“曉日照江水，游魚似玉瓶”，描述武昌魚。

More than 1,300 years ago, during the Northern Song dynasty, the famous poet and gourmet Su Shi wrote the lines, “Morning sun shines on the river, and swimming fish resemble jade bottles,” describing Wuchang bream.

毛主席也在武漢留下過“才飲長沙水，又食武昌魚”的詩句。

Chairman Mao also penned the line "Just had Changsha's water, now Wuchang bream" during his time in Wuhan.

在湖北，一條武昌魚，寄托著養(yǎng)魚人豐收的喜悅，廚師烹飪出美味的自豪，遠方游子對故鄉(xiāng)的思念，以及所有人，對來年好運的期待。
